love baking and making homemade sweet pie wearing an apron using a rolling pin just feels like the good old days everything homemade.
I was in the mood to make something sweet with some figs that were given to me and decided to make……. Chocolate pastry with Riccotta and Fig honey crumble pie.
The pastry is very chocolate and it has coconut sugar, it’s simple to do, it has riccotta cheese thin sliced figs then honey drizzel on top of the riccotta cheese then plain crumble on top of it,
its nice to serve this dish with some icecream on top or marble syrup or both! Or by it self.
I have put a few photos step by step even a small video of the crumble so you can see,,I did my best writing the recipe out for you.

RECIPE CHOCOLATE PASTRY 🍫
2 cups of plain flour
2 big tablespoons of nestle chocolate powder
1/4 cup of coconut sugar
165 grams of butter
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons of water
……………………………………………..
FILLING
375 grams of riccotta cheese
7 figs sliced thin
3 tablespoons of honey
………………………………………………
CRUMBLE
1/2 cup self raising flour
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon sugar
1/4 cup of coconut sugar
1/2 teaspoon of essence
45g butter
.
.

METHOD
put all ingredients of the pastry in the mixer till it goes into a ball
Lay out the dough with a rolling pin and make a nice big round circle shape then put it on a baking paper then add the riccotta cheese and spread it in the middle of the circle of the dough and keep it at least away from the edges for enough room to fold the dough over when finsh filling.
Slice thin figs then the honey drizzled over it even then fold the edge pastry over it then put the crumble over it…..
The crumble… put all ingredients in a bowl and mix till it starts to feel like it’s sticking together kinda put on top of the figs and spray cooking oil over it.
Oven bake 165degrees 40 minutes.
